Evidence that you're getting oldYouthful as I am, I realised yesterday that I no-longer know, or care, who is #1 in the charts. Furthermore, it takes all day to get rid of a hangover and I now seem to have a profound interest in gardening. Worst is that I now use words like 'furthermore'.
What makes you think that you are getting old?

and this...i was walking up the stairs in my house the other day, when suddenly and without warning, i farted. i no longer have control over when i choose to break wind. it just happens. there is nothing that can be done about it.
i farted loudly at a funeral. i didn't know it was going to happen, it just did when i sat down.
i just farted when i was writing that.
and again. completely involuntary. i think i need an operation.
