Who to blame for rising petrol prices?Dunno. Suppose tax is very high, but that's to deter waste, which seems like a good aim. Not the big oil companies - they don't make much profit per litre of petrol. The cost of getting the stuff out of the ground and refining it? Hard to blame the planet. OPEC, maybe?

Wrong.Tax is very high so the Treasury gets more money.
Most people don't have any practical alternative, so they can gouge the price.
