This is a question Getting Old

Drimble asks: When was it last brought home to you just how old you're getting? We last asked this in 2004, and you're eight years older now. Eight. Years.

Pesky kids...
When my 8yr old held up a VHS tape and looking puzzled asked what it was.

More recently when my 4yr old held up a CD (in case) and asked "Is this a DVD?"

My response of "No, it's a CD", confused him no end...."But it looks like a DVD dad!".....

that's just semantics though.
My wife doesn't differentiate at all between CDs and DVDs.

A DVD is a CD with a film on it. A CD is something that seems to play songs, but the TV screen stays blank for - normally resulting in a peeved enquiry as to what's up with the DVD (or CD) player.

*sigh*

That's what you get for marrying a 4-year-old

Hah, you're kidding.
A 4 year old would know exactly what each one was.

Well yeah....
Except for the fact they are made slightly differently and one can hold over 4 times more than the other, they're exactly the same in shape though....well spotted....

Although in fairness...
Maybe it's just the geek in me, but in my head are they different, my 4yr old understands that now as well....now I feel old....
