Theyre not techno? I went to a metal club here in the city, and they started playing the prodigy. I shouted at the dj to turn off that electronic crap, all he said was "they played at download mate". That was me told. I left shortly after, never to return.

not techno.Early stuff was rave, then probably Nu skool breaks. Techno has four to the floor kickdrums, the prodigy use breakbeats.
Techno isn't a catch all term for electronic music.
