Bad news, good news
The bad news is that I've inherited my dad's tendancy to drink and smoke far too much and like him I am absolutely shit with money.
The good news is that unlike him, I've never hit my wife.

Didn't happen too often but memories remain vivid.
The last time it happened I was at home and managed to get myself between them sharpish. At this point I was 21, six foot one and in the TA.
He never hit her again.
