Psychology?One feels that, by and large, hiding porn on your computer is more of an entrenched position learned in your teens when you *really* don't want your parents to find it and becomes habit in later life.
Perhaps some people don't want to take the risk of finding out how their significant other would respond to it? There are a lot of prudes out there after all...
