point missed by a country mile...
So who deserves respect - the sailor who risks his life for his country, or a foul-mouthed moron who happens to think being unable to walk is justification for an unprompted torrent of abuse hurled at a total stranger?
My parents are registered disabled and if they abused someone just because of their job, I am fairly sure they'd expect to be abused back. A disability is not a get-out-of-jail-free card and, unless the person is mentally ill, it's not a justification to act like a twat.
It's assholes like that who give other disabled people a bad name. No doubt he was pissing his disability benefits away at the pub, so I've got zero sympathy for him.
