My dad-in-law and his brother
Stole a skull from the crypt of a disused church when they were boys.

Their mum made them get rid of it, so they buried it in the garden. Not long after that, they moved a few streets away, and forgot the whole episode. Forgot, right up to the moment the new owners decided to do a bit of gardening...
