kidsyou're not who you become when you're a kid. Money is good -> I'm smarter than this other kid -> I can get their money. You're not smart enough to understand the consequences of your actions at that age though.
The only thing that makes people scum is either an inability to see things from another's point of view, or an ability to do so and regardless not care. That's clearly not true of you.
