Ever seen Clerks II?Randall keeps making comments about being "as blind as Anne Frank" because he got her confused with Helen Keller. It's a recurring joke through the movie.
I started using that line for a while with my kids to make them chuckle at the inside joke.
The other day my daughter and I were driving along and she was telling me some story about someone missing something obvious and I commented "You'd need to be as blind as Helen Keller not to see that."
She laughed out of reflex, then processed what I had just said and laughed harder, then told me I should feel bad for making her laugh at that.
I merely grinned.
