I was riding alongand I noticed a snail slowly travelling across the bikepath. So I rode back, picked it up, and put it down at its destination off the path, so it didn't get run over.
Unfortunately animals are soulless automata, and in treating it as if it wasn't I'm no doubt going to hell.
(unless the snail religion is the true one I guess).
