I've heard a couple of tales like this...One was the Legendary 'Jimmy White's Brother' incident, whereby the body of the aforementioned chap was taken out to the pub for 'ine last piss up'. It is now used as a nickname for anyone boring who sits in the pub and doesn't move all night.
The other one was on QI I think, where the tale was told of someone who removed the cock from a corpse, took it to a party then poked it out of his own trousers. When it was pointed out to him that the gentleman seemed to have his tadger hanging out, he proceeded to grab a big knife and 'cut' it off...cue faints from surrounding ladies.
As for these stories, yours included PJM, I don't mind if they're true or not. Because they're funny.
