he wasn't a matebut yeh, did seem a bit of an over-reaction.
he was alright about it once my mate (his housemate) explained that I wasn't some gay rapist, and just a drunk scouser who occasionally sleepwalks
their other housemate was an incredibly attractive Irish girl (who'd been out with us that night) why I didn't walk into her room I'll never know
