WW2Similiar to a few others on here... The (soon to be) wife once asked me who won world War 2. She seemed to be under the impression that it was the Germans, but we'd all just taken it as one on the chin and forgotten about it. Put her right by asking one simple question. "Um, what language do you speak, dear?"
