grandadI had to phone up my work a few Saturdays ago to tell my boss I wasn't coming in as my Grandad had died the night before. She was very apologetic before adding, "Don't worry about it, take all the time you need, it's dead in here today anyway."
Whoops, stupid use of words comes to mind!
