Rings...
The extremely camp deputy head at my alma mater did not cope well with the school changing from a boys grammar school to a co-ed comp, but it did facilitate this assembly announcement:
'Ear rings are not permitted, but finger rings are'.
Collapse of the entire upper year groups.
Oh yes, and 'pop'.
