Irrational Fears
My mate Dan is afraid of turning his back on a flushing toilet. "It'll suck me in", he says. Can you beat him with your own true story of an irrational fear?

Getting over phobias takes a lot of courage and a lot of hard work
There are a number of resources out there and a number of therapies - CBT is my favourite.
1) Recognise the fear for what it is - a fear.
2) Look at the object of your fear objectively
3) Take small baby steps to facing up to your phobia - like looking at a picture for a second and working up to more time.
4) Take steps to introduce yourself to things associated with the phobia to disassociate them from the phobia.
Sorry, couldn't help posting this but after years of living in fear I like to share techniques that have worked for me.
