irrational but lurking
Aside from the mundane usual phobias like claustrophobia and heights, the irrational fear was of 'realistic' marionettes , such as the type used in the science fiction serial, Thunderbirds. The fear may be irrational but it wasn't overwhelming, viewing these things just made me very uneasy, which they still do, many years later. I have been adv ised that perhaps the fear stemmed from the fact that in their attempts at 'realism' they portrayed figures which were freakishly but subtly exagerated. I do not know, and i will not analyze the fear myself, as it makes me very uneasy.
