People who say "less" when they mean "fewer" ought to be turned into soup, the soup fed to baboons and the baboons fired into an active volcano. What has you grinding your teeth with rage, and why?

Why use 4 syllables when two will do.

obligated is used to mean that you don't have a choice. Whereas obliged is a bit looser.

Obligate = "by necessity" so if you're obligated to do something means you're forced to do it by the laws of nature, physics, etc. You're obligated to keep breathing if you want to stay alive, but nobody is forcing you to.
Oblige = "To constrain by physical legal social or moral means" (as well as the meanings to do with being grateful), so if you're obliged to do something you're being forced to do it by someone else. You're obliged to breathe (out, usually) when someone else punches you in the gut when you're holding your breath.
I'll change my handle to Mr. Logic soon.

...like the sound of a million browsers opening up "Fail" images and being linked rapidly.

It's admirably on topic - you can't get a more irrational hatred than one based on exactly the type of fucktarditude you're claiming to despise.

I feel marginally better for showing my ignorance of vocabulary now.
