I don't know about you, but I always drive like I'm in a Demolition Derby unless I see one of these.
Of course I don't, but that's the "logic" of displaying one.

Really I think it's just fertility boasting.

On a related note, this morning I overtook a Peugeot 106 whose back window was plastered in pro-hunting, Countryside Alliance type stickers. to the point where I wondered if the drive could see anything coming behind her (yes, it was a woman, of the braying horsey ruddy-cheeked country Tory persuasion by the look of her).

Isn't there some law about not doing this?

I think blocking up the back window is ok
as otherwise vans would be fucked. I think you need the drivers wing mirror and one other mirror (i.e. either rear view mirror or passenger wing) to be legal, but I couldn't offer any proof.
