People who say "less" when they mean "fewer" ought to be turned into soup, the soup fed to baboons and the baboons fired into an active volcano. What has you grinding your teeth with rage, and why?

According to the Oxford English Dictionary...

In this case the OED is wrong.
-ize is American.
-ise is English.
(Some linguistic scholars might argue that -ise/-ize derives from Latin or Greek roots but they're simply wrong, regardless of how many letters they have after their names.)
