Isn't the whole point of Come Dine With Me to sneer smugly at the social inadequates?It's the televisual equivalent of reading qotw.

Sneering, I have no problem with...but telly isn't supposed to make me angry. OK, it is, and the producers clearly intended that, but it's more the type of person who "tell's it like it is" that still gets me into a rage, as opposed to Come Dine With Me itself.
Another fine example is that woman who plays Mimi on Shameless when she was on Big Brother. In fact, a lot of the bog brother contestants boasted of "telling it like it is, and if they don't like it it's their problem".
And I've known people IRL who profess this very philosophy in the pub.
