This is a question Irrational Hatred

People who say "less" when they mean "fewer" ought to be turned into soup, the soup fed to baboons and the baboons fired into an active volcano. What has you grinding your teeth with rage, and why?

Watching other people use the Internet
I don't consider myself a computer expert by any stretch of the imagination, but 99% of the time I see someone use the Internet, I find myself wanting to eat my toes in sheer frustration within about 30 seconds. When helping family members, it's all I can do not to yell "Click there! NO, THERE! THERE! WHERE I'M POINTING!"

Worse is when someone asks "Do you think I should click on this link?" I don't know, click it and see. What do you think the back button's for?

But what really has me foaming at the mouth is people who use Google to find every single website they visit i.e. find Facebook by typing "Facebook" into Google and clicking on the first link. How hard is it to start typing "Faceb" into the address bar? And a little bit of me dies every time someone in my house finds their email by Googling "Yahoo mail" even though I've helpfully provided a speed dial for it which shows up in every new browser tab.

It's when they double click a link that only requires a single click, so that the page loads twice...
grraaaagghh!!

I watched someone type Google into the searchbar (top right of browser) to get to Google so they could search for Facebook the other day. *Headdesk*

Just so we're clear:
1. Start browser.
2. Click in searchbar.
3. Type Google.
4. Press return.
5. Select first search result (Google homepage).
6. Type Facebook into Google search.
7. Select first result.
8. Arrive at Facebook.

I nearly drew blood biting my lip.

I love her dearly, but...
Years ago, when we were sorting out life insurance, I said to MrsScars "Stick another £10K on it, so that when I go under a bus you can have professional IT support".

I'm not going into details, but if I'm away for more than 3 days it takes the best part of a day to restore the main PC to working order. Scareware, spyware, trojans, massive fragging, a GB of .tmp files. It took ages to explain to her that if you have 2 PCs, the emails won't magically be mirrored on both without Exchange Server. Then I had to cope with the habdabs when I told what it would cost.

^Hell yes!^
"Oh yeah, you want Tools...Options...Settings... Uncheck the first checkbox on the Advanced tab, and you won't get that message again."

"No, there's no Tools icon, use the Tools menu option"

"The Menu is the row of words right at the top of the application window"

"Oh for fuck's sake I'll do it"

I probably shouldn't work in IT support.
