You don't have a general right of return
Even if the mirror clearly lied to you, or you were drunk when you tried it on. Caveat emptor is not strictly the case, however- the sale of goods act (amongst others) means that you don't have to check that it's fake, or on fire, or whatever, and you have rights to return after the fact if you subsequently find out it is on fire, or fake, or slept with your mum (assuming it was sold as not trying to sleep with your mum) etc.

A better way to put it would be that if you buy something without trying it on first then you don't have any remedy for buyer's remorse (unless you bought it by mail order, in which case you can reject the goods for any reason you like).
