Round here is the oppositeSince having kids I've flet it important to teach them the rules of the pelican crossing, so rather than press the button and cross anyway when a gap comes leaving the light to turn red later when no-one is there I stand patiently waiting for the green man so my daughter can shout "go daddy its the green man" In the many months I have been doing this I have noticed that it stays red for ages when there's no traffic and suddenly turns red when there's cars coming. I can only presume its some kind of sick joke.
