With regards to the thing about you buying him a load of stuff from the states and him underpaying you though, can't believe you didn't pull him up on that straight away!

Yeah.
I did pull him up on it - to start with he said "Oh yeah, I'll give you the rest on pay day."
Then when I asked him on pay day his reply was "I gave you that, I'm sure of it."
So now, when he asks, the answer is always no.
