Teh great thing isyou dont even have to leave your foot on the brake as a sharp "tap" sticks it on "hold" leaving your brake light shining. I have now written to Mercedes to ask if they will consider a method of turning the brake lights off for the "hold" function and treating it as if you were using the handbrake (which is a bit of an arse if you drive an automatic).
