The lyric is "ship"
But in my stoned pretentiousness, I interpretted it as "sheep". It's a very simple visual image, which I went and got all over-excited about in my misinterpretation.

I know. I love the Sisters.
But I had you down as a bit of a Warrior For Jesus, so your seeming approval of that idea BLEW MY MIND.

You had me down as religious?
Hahahahaha wow.
No - I'm not religious, though I do find religion interesting.
I was actually a little disappointed to find I was wrong, as I thought it was rather good in a terribly witty, post-modern ironic sort of way.

It was all those times you ranted against cyclists.
Or possibly atheists.
Since there's no such thing as a militant agnostic, I just assumed you were a Christophile. Or maybe a self-hating cyclist. I mean atheist.

Anyone who isn't self-loathing atheist is arrogant and pompous.
Pffft.

I refuse to get into further SIWOTI about atheism with you.
Because it's the most circular argument I've ever been in.
Let's bitch about the Pope instead. I had to travel between Edin and Glasgow yesterday. It was HELL. Why oh why etc etc...

Yes I'm pretty bored with it myself. I just enjoy bursting the bubbles of
the sanctimonious and worthy.
Did you see the picture of the pope quite blatently and unashamedly kissing a baby? I put my foot through the paper and sent the church the bill!

Man. I had a fasebuk friend say something like
"some people's comments on here regarding the Pope's visit are disgusting and stupid.. if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all!!"
In fact that's exactly what she said. I was gobsmacked by the level of stupidity. He's not some five year old girl with hurty feewings. He's an extremely privileged man who had to fight his way to a position of power where he's the nominal head of a billion people.
The opening to criticism of those with that level of power isn't just a good idea, it's absolutely mandatory, even if he's only doing mildly controversial things, as opposed to, say, being the Catholic Church.
I really wanted to link her to that pic on the FP about disguising boys as girls.
