When I met the parentsWhen my g/f first met my parents for lunch, my Dad leant over and ate food off her plate. My mother was mortified, I was a bit confused, she thought it was wonderfull and that she'd been accepted.

First time I met my ex's parentsand pretty much the first thing they said to me was "You're one of us, now!"
Hoping they were joking I chuckled politely, but they remained stoney faced. When I broke up with her some time afterwards (and on the phone as well... I know, I'm really low) she pretended she hadn't heard me, and I had to go through the whole thing again the following day, but making sure I had witnesses that time.
