It set the sceneThe first time I met my boyfriend's (now husband) family I walked through the front door and his brother (who was 8 at the time) said 'she's better than your last ugly monkey girlfriend!'. Result! His mother said 'Hello, when are you going to give me grandchildren?'...
needless to say 13 years later she's still waiting - now that's making her wait :) *evil cackle*
