A friend had wierd banging noises in his house for months and was deeply, deeply worried that it was the result of getting drunk and attempting to summon the devil.*

When I was young I used to know a number you could dial......and then hang up the phone and it would start ringing. Apparently BT used to use it to check the line was working. It changed years ago and no longer works.
Oh sorry. That's next week's QOTW.
