My sisters and I have something similar with my mom.My mother has an annoying habit of not finishing sentences. Specifically, she'll trail off, leaving you objectless. Frequently, it'll be along the lines of "Would you bring me the........."
My sisters and I have gotten so used to this, either through Psychic Weirdness or just years of practice at guessing what she's asking for, that we can usually figure out what she's asking for and bring it to her.
However, it freaks out friends/significant others/strangers, who cannot figure out how we're doing it. Even worse, my sisters and I are starting to pick up the same obnoxious habit, and our significant others HATE IT.
