This is a question The nicest thing someone's ever done for me

In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.

In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.

Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

Some nice Canadian doctor
In August I booked some flights to Canada to see my sister this Christmas. I paid an extortionate amount of money for them.

Three weeks later the airline company went bust and, as I'd paid on debit card, it looked like I'd not get the money back.

My sister's boss then offered to buy me some more flights so I could still spend Christmas with her. I've never met him and she had only been working at the hospital about 5 weeks.

Without sounding smug, I have too many amazing things that people have done for me; I am fortunate enough to have wonderful friends. One is a b3tan and he has done more for me than he probably ever realised... if you still hang around on here, thank you so much.

Zoom=Sad
I very nearly got snagged in the Zoom thing. It's a shame, I liked flying with them.
ALSO, Canadian doctors rule! Five years ago, my missus and I flew to Canada for my little sister's wedding, and I was suffering from a massive toothache.
Cue a local Dentist, whom I've never met, I told him I just wanted to feel nice for the wedding, and he fixed me up for free!
Yay!
People are nice

Zoom
Yeah, the Zoom thing sucks, my mum had hoped to come out to see me on a last minute deal with Zoom last week, but sadly it didn't happen, and won't get to see my mum til next year now, assuming I can scrape the funds to fly back to England.

You get a click from me, as it's this kinda thing that makes the world a nicer, fluffiah place.
