In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.
In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.
Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

But I hope Edinburgh comforted you.
IMHO Edinburgh is one of the world's most beautiful cities. Lived there for 4 years and enjoyed every second of it.
Speaking of meetings not made. Hubby and I were poverty struck newlyweds in Edinburgh in 1998. We spent many a chilly weekend in cafes drinking espresso and avoiding our cold-as-an-eskimos-grave apartment.
Another person in Edinburgh was doing precisely the same thing at the same time; JK Rowling. I like to think I sat at the next table whilst she was penning her fortune.
Chin up man and good luck next time.
