This is a question The nicest thing someone's ever done for me

In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.

In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.

Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

same here
2001, 2nd day of skiing in.

Right leg ended up facing backwards
*nuf said*

ended up with a plaster cast, which was interesting as they dont do those in the UK much anymore.

Also was in and out of the resort in under 2 hours, having had multiple xrays, and having the cast put on (which was a full leg cast beacuse even though it was on my lower leg, was too close to the knee joint.

Rather nippy.

Got up for first time after i'd broken it (2 and a half hours!) and threw up in their umbrella bin.

Which happened to have holes all the way down it.

Lovely.

Then i got back to the UK a week later to have it changed to a normal UK cast.

3 hours in the hospital, although the wait was made much easier, because i had 4 personal nurses who hadn't actually seen a proper plaster cast removed. So theres me sitting in my boxers in the hospital, with 4 nurses around me, removing the cast.

GOOD TEIMS!

SO GUD
Mine was 2k5. Things have changed so much in so little time - Feels like almost a lifetime ago. I'm typing this from a desk job, something I never thought I'd have.

Like it a hell of a lot more than cheffing though :)
