The nicest thing someone's ever done for me
In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.
In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.
Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

He sounds like a total ignorant git ....
Please don't stop doing good deeds! My dippy OH has lost his wallet twice, and at best it's a pain in the arse, and at worst ... well! First time a lady handed it in to the police who contacted us - the copper gave me her name and address (not sure how well that sits with the data protection act but!), and by the time OH had got home I'd retrieved said wallet from cop shop and purchased a bunch of flowers and chocs for OH to take to nice woman, who was slightly shocked to say the least. Second time we never found out who handed it in at the station, but thank you whoever you were!
