The nicest thing someone's ever done for me
In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.
In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.
Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

Being a woman...
It's my opinon that women like simple, romantic gestures. Not hundreds and hundreds of pounds (or, in your case, dollars).
One year for my birthday my husband sent me down the pub with some friends and told me I couldn't go home until 9pm. He called me up when I was allowed to go home, then sent a taxi to where I was to pick me up.
When I got home, the entire house was covered in candles and there was an amazing dinner laid out which he'd spent all evening making. There was cold champagne, and romantic music. After desert, he led me to the bedroom where there were more candles (all down the hallway actually, just like a landing strip) and rose petals all over the place.
It wasn't overly expensive, but I will never forget how much I loved him that day!!
Oh, failing that, a diamond ring. Then she'll have to.
