Advice from Old People
Sometimes, just sometimes, old people say something worth listening to. Ok, so it's like picking the needle out of a whole haystack of mis-remembered war stories, but those gems should be celebrated.
Tell us something worthwhile an old-type person has told you.
Note, we're leaving the definition of old up to you, you smooth-skinned youngsters.

Some words of wisdom from my late dad....
1. Always go to the lavvie when you get the chance. He told me that many years ago, long before he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
2. Never buy French. Nothing at all. Not even a frigging apple.
3. If someone told him to leave a tip at a restaurant he would say "Aye, here's a tip - don't run with scissors."
My dad RIP.

french
totally agree, I drive my girlfriend mad checking labels in supermarkets but I won't knowingly buy anything French. It's even got to the stage where I no longer drink Glenfiddich, because Pernod now own the brand and I don't want my money lining a French pocket!
