My sourceswhich are rather shadowy but VERY well informed tell me that the shit will hit the fan in a very ugly way within the year. The global economy is tottering along in feet of clay and will crash to a degree that "will make 1929 look like a walk in the park." Additionally our food system is stretched to capacity now, and it would take very little to crash that as well.
Add to this the current madness of growing corn for ethanol fuel and the fact that the US midwest has been flooded all to fuck and that we still have the problem with honey bee die-off, and yeah- we're gonna be fucked hard with a chainsaw.
How are your survivalist skills, people?
