
When I was a barman, I stood by polishing a glass as a couple had a hushed argument two feet away about what they were going to do now she was pregnant. The bloke promised to leave his wife, but subsequent hushed arguments revealed that he did not. What have you overheard?

But the accent's not a million miles away from how these folk sounded. Imagine if the Wurzels were pissed off, for example if it turned out the object of their affection actually had an extra 600 acres that they expected to be combine-harvested, in addition to the original 43. That's how they sounded.

I am from Dorset but live in East Anglia. The accents sound completely different to me.
Most people seem to think that a standard 'bumpkin' accent covers both areas.
