I seem to remember a similar problem trying to go fromPeru into Brazil.
We were told we would have to have the jab, then wait 10 days.
It was just a scam of course, $100 later we had the backdated certs and were on our merry way.
Fucked if I'd let someone in Arusha put a needle in me though.

no choice bossIt was that or sit in the airport and await the next flight back to Kenya. I checked the packaging for the syringe and needles and it was a genuine single dose vial of vaccine which I insisted on inspecting prior to drawing of the solution. Risk was there but then again for me the risks are there anyway and sometimes its a lot worse than HIV (Marburg / Ebola)
