It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*

hahaI also thought I'd die in the Atlantic when I flew to London! No irrational fear of flying before or after.
I think I was relieved when I saw the flight path wasn't a straight line from Chicago to London, but more of an arc over Canada and Scotland. Not much time completely over the ocean. I also hit up the local Xanax dealer and was pretty buzzed.
Going back the other way after 10 days of partying in London I honestly could have cared less if the plane crashed and almost choked the "Airline Attendant" (I believe that's the latest PC title) everytime she woke me up for fucking nothing, like pretzels.
