This is a question Phobias

What gives you the heebie-jeebies?

It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*

Tell us what innocent things make you go pale, wobbly and send shivers down your spine.

For People
Who are scared of wasps, or bees, or any flying insect, then use one of my tricks.

Don't bother with fly-spray, or insect spray. In my experience that just makes them uber-pissed-off for the 5 minutes it takes them to die.

Hairspray, that's the ticket. The stronger the better.

It turns the little fuckers into gliders with absolutely no control over their flight. And, when they do crash-land, they just sit there like wee insect models until you sweep them up and flush them.

And, as a Brucie-Bonus, it's funny as fuck.

Cheers

Mind you, I've had very good reports of WD40 as an alternative but never tried it.....

ahh
This reminds me of when I worked at a petrol station. There was a big window looking over the forecourt so I could tell who's taking what. Anyway in the summer we would get loads of wasps coming into the shop and buzzing about the window. This isn't particularly petinent to the topic as I don't fear wasps. I just liked to kill them.

I would take a shatter-proof ruler, bend it back and the resulting flip-back of the ruler would be a significant force sandwiching the wasp between ruler and window - making a satisfying crunch/explosion. The resultant spray/mess could be as large as your average ball-load. Poor wasps.

Ahhh, teh memoreez
Used to do just this with wasps and spray marine varnish.
ended up with about half a dozen beautifully detailed "giant wasp" miniatures to go with the various wizards and hobbits I'd been painting.

WD40 + lighter would work
May burn more than just wasps tho.

From experience in my early teens, you can get a 2ft jet of flame from a large WD40 can
