Political Correctness Gone Mad
Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

Humpty: Who's mum is a Wheelchair-Using, blue-badge holding shite driver.
However, she never parks in stupid areas.
EDIT: not sure about "breaking a kid's Spirit" though... I was given a few sound smacks as a kid, but only to highlight the fact that I'd crossed a serious line and broken a rule. NEVER to the point of physical damage... but just to the point of having an arse that smarts and the knowledge that I'd get the same if I was a little shit again.
Looking back on it, I now understand my dad's words "This hurts me too you know".
