The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. If you call it a Paki shop, but then actually purchase goods from the shop in a friendly and civil manner, rather than smashing the windows and burning it down, then you're not really being racist against them, are you?

Actually I'd say you're well up there in the "most racist post" list on this QOTW, which is doing well.
