This is a question Political Correctness Gone Mad

Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

How has PC affected you? (Please add your own tales - not five-year-old news stories cut-and-pasted from other websites)

OK then.
Leaving aside the touchy-feely bollocks, the pacifist hero and the oh-so subtle comparisons between the Crusades and the current war in Iraq there's one glaring example.
One of the characters is a Saracen. (Not a problem. This has been part of the mythos since about the mid-80s)
Said character is a Saracen woman. (Ok, makes things a bit more interesting)
And she's significantly smarter, more enlightened and sensible then the Anglo-Saxon oafs that make up the rest of the gang.(Verging on the PC, methinks, but still Ok.)
She has been known to lecture the gang on the iniquities of the Crusades and the virtues of salad. (What?)
And most glaringly of all, whenever the hoodettes break into Nottingham Castle (weekly)by disguising themselves as mummers or suchlike she goes along too. And at no point has anybody said "Ere. You're foreign, aren't you. And hang on a minute, there's maybe five Saracen women in England and the only one outside of London is in Robin Hood's gang."
In short, a character that ought to stick out like a sore thumb attracts no notice whatsoever.
