Pavements are for pedestrians, roads are for trafficPedestrian crossings aside, if you're crossing a road you should give way to the traffic. Likewise, if you're in charge of a vehicle you shouldn't drive/ride it on the pavements, unless you have no other option, and then only very slowly, giving way to pedestrians.
