I can't understand the appeal of living thereI had to put up with being in one of its sattelite towns (I say town but it's all one big mess of interconnected urban shite) for three years and I didn't ever see a positive reason for being there. One of the main arguments for living there is the average wage is usually higher but when that also comes with the price of a few beers requiring a new mortgage and a payday loan it's really not worth it.

I grew up in one of those satellite towns, and its incidents like my post which convinced me to move away at 18.
Bizarrely I ended up working back in North London nearly 10 years later only to be lured away to Devon where I earnt substantially more than I did in London and with a far lower cost of living!
