Pure Fury
A friend's dad once stormed up to me and threatened to "punch your stupid face in" because I pointed a camera at him. I was 11. Have you ever done something innocent or made a harmless joke that ended in threats to your person? Tell us about it.
Thanks to Skullfunkerry for the suggestion

Never get involved in domestics
This is why the police hate them so much.
I used to live with a (totally mental) couple, who used to have colossal arguments. I tried not to get involved, but one night, after much shouting and breaking things, she was banging on my door at three in the morning telling me to call the police. I went out and she was a total mess, and said he'd hit her and taken her phone off her so she couldn't call them. She was hysterical so I went into the lounge and asked him and he said, yes, he had, because the police didn't need to be involved.
I calmed her down a bit, but she was insisting he'd hit her and she wanted to call the police, so I went back to the lounge and talked him into giving the phone back.
Police then turn up and take her away. The next morning they came over to interview me and the bloke. I basically said that I hadn't seen anything happen, just heard the noise of an argument, and then tried to calm things down.
Anyway....
He got carted off for an interview, and came back in the afternoon. She was pressing charges. This went on for about three days until she changed her mind and came back and they were all loved up again.
Except that she wouldn't speak to me from that day forward and kept telling me to move out (it wasn't her house) because I shouldn't be interfering in their relationship.
WHAT. THE. FUCK.
