^ AgreedI used to go absolutely everywhere with my knife, and the only time I was ever stopped was in 1998 at Toronto airport. They made me check it in as hold baggage, so when I got home I had to wait for a manila envelope with my knife in it coming round the carousel!
But since the world went mad, I've had to write an extra line on my travel packing list - "Penknife in suitcase".
